Good news is GrapheneOS is planned to be available on Motorola phones. Probably time to leave Google and Microsoft behind.

Finally a reason to upgrade my 5 year old Moto.

I'm struggling to think of any online services for which I'd be willing to verify my identity or age in c/technology@lemmy.world

I even have a problem with ID.me, it's a private company that the US government wants you to give your driver's license and other information to. I don't trust that.

It's frankly stupid of me to get annoyed when people at work ask me tech questions, I'm getting paid to give 0-effort answers. in c/showerthoughts@lemmy.world

Or Google it. But this is why we some people like LLMs, they can't or won't research the problem themselves and just ask IT or AI in natural language.

There is the very old saying "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." These people are dumb horses and it's not getting any better.
