A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

Ok, but a nuclear war wrecks things, and a bunker hoards value. So you're not really disagreeing.
What value? Money/gold etc will be worthless if society collapses.
Clean water and food can be incredibly valuable when no on else has any.
Not gonna be enough in a bunker to keep a horde of survivors happy.
Don't need to feed a horde, just enough of them to shoot the rest.
this isn’t fallout. The thing to know is that at least Vault Tek was competent and had a plan for the end of the world. Our current billionaires are not even remotely that smart.
I don't actually think so. After it's safe to leave their bunkers would likely be a very very long time, certainly beyond thier lifetime.
Honestly the dumb reason for thier action is usual right: they just want even more money at whatever cost. You don't become a billionaire ethically.
The final conspiracy is that there is no conspiracy. We've seen how these ultra wealthy act and talk to each other when they think no one's listening, they really are just complete idiots
When literally everyone around you is either paid by you, or wants some of your power/money, you never get honest opinions, and you never get pushback.
My family, friends, and colleagues would talk to me differently if I had billions of dollars in my bank account, and I'd be a worse human for it.
