Why does Microsoft use Discord??

They use Discord for community stuff, IE non employee interactions. People can join those communities to learn, they have several
Teams is used for internal employee chat.
It's where people are, sadly.
For the same reason they have a twitter account for sharing updates about outages. Because their own systems don't @#^ing work
Did you mean Microslop and… actually, Discord doesn‘t even need a clever nickname.
Looks like it’s the official server for Copilot, presumably for the community (e.g. support, etc) not internal communication, for what that’s worth
IT and tech support for the relatively common case of bricked computers and bad updates.
