Am 1. März hat sich Kroatien offiziell für frei von Landminen erklärt. Die im Boden vergrabenen Sprengfallen waren eine Altlast des Kroatienkrieges, ihre Räumung dauerte Jahrzehnte. Für die Menschen im Land ist dies ein wichtiger Schritt bei der Aufarbeitung des Krieges und für eine friedliche Zukunft. Doch ein Restrisiko bleibt.

Bei den latent rechtsextremen Einstellungen waren zuletzt laut Studie vor allem in den jüngeren Altersgruppen starke Zuwächse zu beobachten, auch wenn sie noch immer die geringste Rate aufweist. 2025 fand sich demnach bei 27,3 Prozent der unter 40-Jährigen eine Offenheit für rechtsextremes Gedankengut. Whenever I load up the game all of it feels repetitive as i have replayed it multiple times. I want some mods (bug fixes, performance [1050ti] rig, qol, quest, etc) that would make it replayable. Nitrux developer Uri Herrera announced today the release and general availability of Nitrux 6.0, a major update to this Debian-based, systemd-free, and immutable GNU/Linux distribution.

Powered by the latest and greatest Linux 6.19 kernel series with CachyOS patches, Nitrux 6.0 ships with the Hyprland 0.53.3 dynamic tiling Wayland compositor by default, which includes updated components like Hypr utilities, Hyprlock, Hyprpaper, Hypridle, and Hyprsysteminfo, as well as updated desktop configuration.

Nitrux 6.0 also introduces a modern and lightweight Wayland-native login screen called QMLGreet, a QML-based, Wayland-native on-screen display for keyboard shortcuts and system notifications called NudgeOSD, and a hypervisor orchestration utility for Nitrux called VxM.

An overengineered PowerShell frontend for FFMPEG

I was doing a lot of manual re-encoding down from insane source bitrates with FFMPEG, and I wondered if I could put it into a nice GUI. Then I wondered if I could make it hardware-agnostic. Then I wondered if I could give it a dark theme... and on and on and on... until finally I had it working how I wanted and I wondered if I could put it into a single executable file.

So all up I spent a little while on this today and I think I finally have something worth shipping. The executable will probably trigger your antivirus because it boostraps the powershell script, and the script will always throw a warning asking if you're sure you want to run it. But it works and it's safe, read the full source and readme in the codeberg if you want to be sure.

I hope this might be helpful for anyone else transcoding videos on Windows! I'd love feedback, but please be gentle, it's my first project like this and I have no idea what I'm actually doing.

Umso unverständlicher ist, warum Merz auf Trumps Wutrede gegen Spanien nicht umsichtiger reagierte. Es hätte gar keine Gegenrede sein müssen. Der nüchterne Hinweis darauf, dass ein Handelskrieg mit einem einzelnen EU-Staat jedweder Basis entbehrt, hätte genügt.

Dass Merz darauf öffentlich erst Stunden später hinwies, macht das Versäumnis offenbar. Donald Trump, der jede Schwäche anderer wittert, dürfte diesen deutschen Patzer genau registriert haben.

Changes

This release mitigates a potential security issue with the image endpoint. In short, an attacker can inject query parameters and make proxied requests to arbitrary URLs. See the security advisory for details.

Also there are fixes for the database connection pool. The pool size is now at least two, as a lower size can result in deadlocks. Additionally there are now connection timeouts added. If your server logs show pool timeout errors, you should increase database.pool_size in the Lemmy config.

Hi to everyone. I'm looking for a self hosted ntfy alternative which allows file attachment to notifications on iOS, I'm already hosting ntfy but unfortunately the iOS app is very basic and it does not support attachments.
